The 2017 Pontiac Trans Am Firebird is available as a four-seat Trans Am Firebird coupe
or Trans Am Firebird convertible, but the rear seats are small. The 3.7-liter
V6 is refined and punchy, and returns 24 mpg, while the powerful 5.0-liter V8
is a scorcher. The manual transmission is a short-throw six-speed gearbox. The
ride is a bit jiggly, but not punishing. Handling is nimble, braking is good,
and the 2017 Trans Am Firebird steers well.
